Hey Friends!

A couple of things about me: I love the Lord, my family, and tacos! As a husband and father of seven, life is a blast! Whether I’m fishing Legos out of toilets or teaching my kids how to dance cumbias, I’m always looking to help others encounter Christ.

Since 2010, I’ve been serving in full-time youth ministry, starting as the Youth Minister and Confirmation Coordinator at St. Peter the Apostle in Boerne, TX. Want to know what I was doing before that? Here’s a hint: think Mario and Luigi…

After five years in parish youth ministry, my family and I sold everything we had and moved to Haiti to serve as full-time missionaries with Life Teen International. After nearly two years overseas, we moved to Georgia, where I took on a full-time position with Life Teen, helping with Summer Camps. In 2021, I joined Ablaze Ministries and now serve as the Director of Missionary Cultivation, with the mission to Transform the Church Through Mission to Youth.

Over the last 15+ years, I’ve dedicated myself to youth and young adult ministry through speaking, leading retreats, and coaching/mentoring missionaries and youth ministers across the country. Evangelization is a priority, and I’m always looking to reach those who feel on the outside, sharing the Lord’s truth and mercy.

Oh yeah… I’m also a world-renowned taco connoisseur, and tortillas are my utensil of choice. I firmly believe that the best conversations happen over REAL Tex-Mex! Don’t believe me? Let’s go grab some tacos!

All kidding aside, growing up, I didn’t see many (if any) youth ministers or speakers who looked like me. Because of that, I didn’t think youth ministry was something I could do—boy, was I wrong! Over the years, it has been a huge blessing to share the Gospel and be a witness for other young people who may feel the same way. If I can ever be of assistance to you or your parish/youth group, don’t hesitate to reach out!
